Therapy for Sexual Trauma for Women in California, Illinois, & Nevada
Helping women find meaning and joy in life again.
Healing from Sexual Trauma
Experiencing a horrendous violation can completely shake up a person’s entire being. Most women who start healing from sexual trauma feel scared, lonely, and trapped in pain. Perhaps you can relate. Maybe you feel disconnected from friends and family, unable to concentrate, become easily distressed, and often reliving past traumas.
If you're feeling stuck in negativity, fear, or disconnection from your body most days, you're not alone. These are common responses to trauma, not signs of weakness. Many sexual assault survivors struggle with motivation and depression, along with feelings of shame and guilt about what happened to them, even though the assault was never their fault. The constant effort of trying to keep yourself safe can be exhausting. And if you've faced victim-blaming, minimization, or rejection after telling someone you trust about your experience, that pain is real. And it says nothing about the truth of what happened to you.
DO ANY OF THE FOLLOWING RESONATE WITH YOU?
You experience dreams/nightmares about trauma
You avoid painful memories/emotions/thoughts about your trauma
You have disconnected yourself from social events
Difficulty concentrating with regular tasks
Blaming yourself for what happened to you
Coping with the emotional pain with food/drugs/alcohol
If these sound true for you, I want you to know that in our society, we have more recently been revealing the trauma of sexual violence. What you are experiencing is normal. Reaching out for help can provide you with the support and encouragement you need. The first step is acknowledging you are worthy of healing. The healing journey is incredibly powerful. You have begun to take responsibility for your healing.

In our work together, you'll discover new ways to cope with distressing or intrusive memories, and build the security you deserve in future relationships. Self-compassion, healing from within, and learning to extend yourself the same gentleness you'd offer others. These are at the heart of the healing process.
I've helped women heal from childhood sexual abuse and sexual assault experienced in adulthood. My role is to walk alongside you offering safety, helping you rebuild self-worth, and deepening self-awareness, especially in the moments when things feel hardest. Transforming from survivor to thriver is one of the most powerful parts of this journey.
